Welcome to the 2025-2026 Swim Season

Dear Blue Fins and WLBF Families,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 Blue Fins swim season! Whether you’re returning for another lap or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of our swim family.

This season promises to be full of growth, teamwork, and unforgettable moments – both in and out of the pool. Our coaching staff is committed to helping each swimmer develop their skills, build confidence, and foster a love for the sport. Swimming is more than competition; it’s about discipline, resilience, inclusion, and the pride that comes from pushing beyond your limits.

What to Expect This Season

  • Practice Schedule: Regular training sessions focused on endurance, technique, and confidence.

  • Meets & Competitions: Opportunities to showcase progress and team spirit at local and regional events. Our local swim meet takes place at the end of January. Volunteers will be needed for set-up, timing, stroke and turn, food prep, and awards.

  • Team Bonding: Social events and team-building activities to strengthen friendships and camaraderie.

  • Parent Involvement: From volunteering to cheering on the sidelines, your support makes a difference.

  • Fundraising: Our club relies on fundraising to operate. Major fundraisers include Christmas Tree Sales, Raffles, and our annual Swimathon.

Please watch for the Weekly Splash emails from our Head Coach, Amanda Nemeth, as well as updates from the Board and our Office Manager, Kristi Hamar. If you have questions at any point, we’re here to help.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our club is seeking volunteers to assist with fundraising efforts. This can be as simple as helping plan a bottle drive or connecting us with a potential sponsor. Every effort is appreciated.
