Bring in your swimmers to be assessed in the water between 4-5pm for about 20 mins and join us in the Gibraltar room for questions and team gear. We do not have mandatory team gear for this group but have lots of suits, goggles, caps available. Shirts are available to be ordered during open house.

First day of Swimming for Super Novice is the week after - Sept. 21.

Most new swimmers will enter the club into our Super Novice program. This program has a maximum 6:1 swimmer to coach ratio and another supervising coach (Coach Amanda) that also is available over and above this staff. This group swims on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All coaches are NCCP and Safe Sport trained with years of swimming experience.

This program is pre-competitive with focus on skills, fitness and fun. Playing in the water is a great way to support learning and water enjoyment for the younger swimmers. Most swimmers in this group are approximately 12 and under.

We have a few small in-house fun swim meets where the swimmers test their skills and swim a few events for their own personal times and success. These skills and races are repeated later in the season to assess personal improvement.

We do not have “set” times or durations that a swimmer remains in Super Novice. It is up to their own personal commitment and advancement. When we see a swimmer that has skills ready for the next level (Juniors) the coaches will have that conversation with the swimmer and parent. We welcome conversations if the swimmer is not feeling like they are challenged enough and what they need to make the jump to Juniors.

Please note that Super Novice does have a few times available on a first come first serve basis. Priority registration is given to returning members first and then open to new members shortly after. The early group (3:30-4:15pm) is typically filled first and may not be available for new members.

We are trying a 1 x week Novice group this year (subject and limited to registration) that will be on Fridays only.

3 sessions are available.

Session 1 – Sept 21 to Dec.17

Session 2-  Jan 4  – Mid March

Session 3-  April – Early June
